The mission of Peace Group Home is to
meet the emotional, the intellectual, the social, the physical, and the
Spiritual needs of those young men entrusted into our care; and to help
these youths build a Foundation of Principles that will be their lifelong
guide for successful living.

Welcome to Peace Group Home. Peace Group Home was founded by Robert and Sealeaner Harmon after years of providing foster care to area youth. Mrs. Harmon is a Registered Nurse at the Chicago VA Hospital and Mr. Harmon is retired from Chrysler Corporation where he was a union leader and educator.
The Harmons have developed a group home program based upon their experience and belief that adolescence is a challenging period to successfully master and especially so for young men who have experienced difficult times during their growing up years. The Harmon's extensive experience working with and mentoring young men has taught them that when a young man shows interest in making a difference in his life and is willing to learn from others different ways to achieve success, then he is ready to be assisted with programming aimed at supporting that young man's best interest and welfare, both in the short term as well as the long term.
It is the goal of this website to provide access to Peace Group Home for the community, the families of our residents and for all who wish to support us in our mission to provide the best possible environment for the boys placed in our care.
